Chocolate Decadence (or Flourless Chocolate Cake) This recipe was sent to me by Little Lamb Lost. (Thanx LLL)
1 pound/454g bittersweet chocolate chopped 4oz/113g butter 4 eggs 1 tablespoon flour Whipped cream with 1 tbsp powdered sugar Raspberry/orange sauce
Preheat oven to 450F or 230CV Butter and line an 8 inch springform pan with baking paper Melt butter and choc until smooth. In a large bowl: Beat eggs well . Add choc mixture and flour until well blended. Spread evenly into pan. Bake for 12-15 mins. (Cake must be soft in centre. Will firm as it cools) Cool at room temp, then refrigerate.
Raspberry Sauce: 2 cups raspberries Two tbsp powdered sugar. Heat until berries are soft, and then put through a sieve. (Adjust flavour by adding lemon juice or more sugar). Can be made with frozen raspberries too
Serve in thin slices on a plate. Drizzle with sauce Add whipped cream if you so wish. Savor with a cup of tea or coffee, and a good man (Okay—I added the good man bit in.) |
